Official Caddying Story: Rick Reilly
Rick Reilly is a sportswriter, screenwriter, book author, keynote speaker and inductee into the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Hall of Fame. He was presented into it by legendary quarterback John Elway. He was voted National Sportswriter of the Year 11 times over a career that began in 1979. Published in 2003, his book Who’s Your Caddy? brought unparalleled exposure to one of sport’s most unique vantage points. USA Today called Reilly “the closest thing sportswriting ever had to a rock star.” The Sherman Report called Reilly “easily the most read sportswriter of his generation.” The New York Daily News described him “as one of the funniest humans on the planet.” Publishers Weekly called him “an indescribable amalgam of Dave Barry, Jim Murray, and Lewis Grizzard, with the timing of Jay Leno and the wit of Johnny Carson.” Booklist called him “Hands down, the funniest golf writer alive.” For two years, Reilly was the host of ESPN’s "Homecoming With Rick Reilly," a one-hour interview show that has featured Michael Phelps, Elway and Magic Johnson, among many others. From 1985 until 2007, his breezy, hilarious and yet often emotional style graced the pages of Sports Illustrated. For the last 10 there, he wrote the popular “Life of Reilly” column. It was the first signed weekly opinion column in the magazine’s long history. He is “the Tiger Woods of sports columnists,” Bloomberg News said.
Official Caddying Story: Bob Ford PGA
Bob Ford was the Head Golf Professional at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania for 37 years and Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach for 21 years. He started working at Oakmont at the age of 20 and by 25 assumed the role of head pro. Ford, a TaylorMade staff pro who recently retired from the company's Presidential Advisory Board, won numerous awards throughout his illustrious career including the USGA Bob Jones award in 2017 and in 2005 he was inducted into the PGA of America Hall of Fame. He is also a member of the Western Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame and the Allegheny Kiski-Valley Sports Hall of Fame. Ford’s professional career has included three stints at the US Open, 10 at the PGA Championships and five as a PGA Cup Team member. Additionally, he is a three-time Pennsylvania Open champion and two-time Pennsylvania PGA champion. Ford has been active on several boards, including TaylorMade/Adidas/Maxfli, Polo Ralph Lauren, Arccos, Fownes Foundation and First Tee of Pittsburgh. A co-author of the book Golf; The Body, The Mind, The Game, Ford has also been recognized as a two-time PGA Merchandiser of the Year and the National Professional Club Professional and Player of the Year. Declared by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette as “the finest club pro in America,” Ford and his wife Nancy have three children, Kelly, Jay and Chandler.
Official Caddying Story: Josh Isner
As President, Josh is responsible for the day-to-day operational excellence of the business, including operations and execution, marketing, policies and employees. Josh joined Axon in 2009 as a member of Axon’s leadership development program and quickly established a strong track record of delivering results. In 2014, Josh led Axon’s domestic body camera and cloud software sales team to a record year and was subsequently promoted to Executive Vice President of Global Sales. In 2018, he stepped into the role of Chief Revenue Officer, responsible for Axon’s global growth, customer service, professional services, and sales operations, successfully driving annual growth rates in excess of 25%. Josh was tapped to be Axon’s COO in June 2022. He is a keen operational leader who drives discipline and prioritization across the business, and ensures that Axon is aggressively pursuing our total addressable market opportunity, supported by a world class team. Josh is a board member of the Phoenix Police Foundation and holds a B.S. in Government + Political Science from Harvard University.
Official Caddying Story: Brian “Sully” Sullivan
Brian Sullivan is the founder of Five Oceans Capital. Previously, Brian was a co-founder and partner at Troy Capital Partners and Troy Capital Group. From 2003-2015. Brian was also the co-founder and Managing Director of ForwardLine Financial (sold to Vistria Partners 2015). In 1997, Brian founded Rolling Oaks Enterprises a bridge lending and venture capital firm with portfolio exits to E*Trade, Adelphia and Hewlett Packard. From 2004-2014, Brian taught as an Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurial Studies at USC Marshall and currently resides on the Board of Advisors for the Grief Center for Entrepreneurial Studies at USC. He received his BS from Northwestern 1993 and MBA from USC 1997.
